There are plenty of things for you to do with your new foster family within Wolverhampton.
For animal lovers, there is the Wild Zoological Park in Bebbington, as well as nearby Dudley Zoo which will allow your foster children to see animals from all around the world.
For entertainment the city has a vast array of attractions for children, teenagers and adults alike. Wolverhampton Grand Theatre hosts a vast array of shows from musicals, comedy, dance and theatre productions, as well as their Christmas Pantomime. Also reopening in 2023 is the Civic Halls which has a long history as a music venue in the city but has been closed for refurbishment since 2015. Meanwhile, over at Bentley Bridge in Wednesfield there is the Cineworld and Hollywood Bowl for teenagers to go and hang out with their friends.
Wolverhampton is also famous for being a city which is very close to the countryside so it is very easy to escape into nature, with attractions such as Essington Fruit Farm and Northycote Farm and Country Park as well as Smestow Valley and Pendeford Mill Nature Reserve’s for a family walk and summer’s day out. The city also has a number of parks and green spaces including West Park, East Park and Bantock Park if you want to go back to nature but stay closer to home.
For families who like sports and keeping active the city has a range of activities at Wolverhampton Swimming and Fitness Centre and for those brave enough there is also Wolf Mountain rock climbing centre. There are also plenty of things to do in nearby Birmingham so it is the perfect place for your family to start the next chapter of your lives!
